Electrical installation being inspected

Landlords & letting agents

Landlord EICRs in Llanelli and Carmarthenshire.

Under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act, landlords must have a valid Electrical Installation Condition Report for every rented home, renewed at least every five years. RT Electrics inspects, tests, reports clearly and carries out any remedial work needed.

What is included

  • Full inspection and testing of the installation
  • Clear written EICR report
  • Plain-English explanation of any codes
  • Remedial work quoted and carried out
  • PAT testing for supplied appliances
  • Smoke and heat alarm checks
  • Support for letting agents with multiple properties
  • NICEIC Approved Contractor

Why it matters

In Wales a rented home must be electrically safe and the landlord must hold a valid EICR, generally no more than five years old. The tenant must be given a copy.

If issues are found

Where a report shows C1, C2 or further investigation items, we explain what each one means and can complete the remedial work and issue the paperwork you need.

Letting agents and portfolios

We work with letting agents and landlords with several properties, arranging access with tenants and keeping reports organised.
